Giving Back: Community Service Day 2026

Each year, Windermere offices set aside a day to step outside the office and give back to the neighborhoods they call home. From sorting donations and packaging meals to painting walls and pulling weeds, the work looks different office to office, but the goal is the same: building stronger, more connected communities.

Here’s what some Seattle and Eastside teams accomplished this year, listed alphabetically by office:

Windermere Bellevue & Bellevue West: Both offices spent their day with Jubilee REACH this year, spreading out to make the most of the day. One group headed to the Resource Center to package pantry essentials like rice and diapers for families in need, while another tackled outdoor maintenance: staining fences, restoring pavers, gardening, and washing windows. A third crew worked the Thrift Store, organizing merchandise and stocking shelves.

Windermere Bellevue South: A two-stop day for the Bellevue South team. They started at KidVantage, sorting clothes and helping in the warehouse to support local kids and families. Back at the office, they assembled care packages and wrote personal notes of encouragement for youth at Echo Glen Children’s Center

Windermere Co.: This year, all six Windermere Co. offices worked together across the city supporting four organizations making a difference in their neighborhoods: the Ballard Food Bank, St. Francis House, Food Lifeline, and Ryther. Different locations, different tasks, and one great day of giving back together.

Windermere Greenwood: The Greenwood team spent the day outside at the Greenwood Senior Center, partnering with the Phinney Neighborhood Association to spruce up the grounds. They pruned, raked, and mowed, ran eight sorting and hauling teams to help residents clear out belongings, and even got in some window painting. A busy, but productive day!

Windermere Issaquah & Redmond: Combining forces once again, the Issaquah and Redmond offices put in a full day of hard work at YMCA Camp Terry, tackling everything from trail work and mulching to cleaning the camp office and yurts, prepping surfaces for paint, and moving and building fences. They even built a gaga pit!

Windermere Magnolia: Brokers and staff at the Magnolia office hosted a free community shredding and e-waste recycling event right in the heart of the Magnolia Village, directing traffic, collecting items from cars, and working alongside vendors to keep things moving smoothly.

Windermere Midtown: The Midtown crew covered a lot of ground at the Phinney Neighborhood Association this year! They cleared Heart of Phinney Park, whacked weeds and blew the lot just in time for the first Farmers Market of the season, scrubbed and organized the Hot Meal Program kitchens, hauled down multiple vanloads from the attic, polished up the signal boxes and 63rd Street Mural, and finished the day by rainbow-painting sidewalks for the center’s family-friendly Pride festival.

Windermere Yarrow Bay: Back at the YWCA Family Village in Redmond for another year, the Yarrow Bay team painted interior walls, stained outdoor planters and benches, power washed the parking lot, and sorted and packed clothes at the donation center. A little bit of everything and a day well spent!

W Creative: The W Creative team returned to KidVantage for another year of sorting donated children’s clothing, helping make sure local kids are dressed and ready or the hot summer months.
