Windermere Recognized as a Major Philanthropic Player in Washington

In a report recently released by the Puget Sound Business Journal, Windermere ranked respectably among the state’s large corporations (those with revenues exceeding $500 million). We are perennially ranked among major corporate players much larger than it—ranking 19 out of 31 in 2023—earning our place as an established, respected corporate citizen focused on giving back to the communities we serve.

Now in its 35th year, the Windermere Foundation is dedicated to helping low-income and homeless families. Last year, Windermere provided $1.8 million in Washington cash giving, and $3.44 million globally. Among its beneficiaries: Attain House, Mary’s Place, YMCA of Greater Seattle and Bellevue LifeSpring. Since its inception, the Windermere Foundation has provided more than $50 million in support of more than 500 homeless shelters, food banks, schools, hospitals, community centers and more throughout the western U.S.—changing thousands of lives.

Giving back has long been a cornerstone of the Windermere ethos. From our earliest days, when needs were met as they arose, to the birth of the Foundation, which empowered us to do more as a whole, philanthropy has been synonymous with the Windermere name. One hundred percent of our agents donate a portion of their sales commission to the Foundation, sending a powerful message about our commitment to the community. This, combined with additional donations from agents, franchise owners, staff and public supporters, allows us to continue to act beyond ourselves to build thriving communities.
